If you've booked with us before, you knew us as Quality Mobile Detailing MN. We're still the same team, still run by the same guy, and still obsessed with getting every finish right. But we've grown into something bigger than our old name could hold, so we're introducing ourselves again as QMD Detailing & Autostyling.
Here's what's changed, what hasn't, and why we think you're going to like where we're headed.
From a Mobile Detailer to a Full Studio
QMD started in the summer of 2024 when founder Robert Delins was running a one-man mobile detailing operation out of Minneapolis. He'd show up at your driveway, put in the work, and leave your car looking better than when he found it. Word got around fast, and it wasn't long before Robert had more requests than one mobile setup could handle.
That growth is why we're not “Quality Mobile Detailing MN” anymore. We've opened an indoor studio in New Brighton, we've expanded into paint correction and ceramic coating at a level that really needs a controlled environment to do right, and we've built a small team around Robert's original standard: no shortcuts, ever.
The new name reflects that. We're not just a mobile van anymore. We're a full detailing and autostyling studio that happens to still offer mobile service when that's what works best for you.
A New Look to Match
The name wasn't the only thing that changed when we moved into our New Brighton shop in November of 2025. Our old logo was a light, understated car outline, simple and easy to overlook. It worked fine for a one-van mobile operation, but it didn't say much about who we'd become.
The new QMD Detailing & Autostyling logo is bolder on purpose. It's built around a circular mark in black, gold, and white, with the QMD letters front and center. The gold is meant to signal exactly what we're going for with every vehicle we touch: a premium, showroom-level finish, not just a basic wash and vacuum. It's a mark that fits a full studio a lot better than our old one did, and you'll start seeing it on the shop, our vehicles, and everywhere online.
What Hasn't Changed
A few things about us haven't moved an inch since day one, and we don't plan on letting them.
We still treat your car like it's ours. Robert built this business on the idea that a car is more than transportation. It's an investment, and for a lot of people, it's a source of pride. That mindset is baked into how every technician on our team approaches a vehicle, whether it's a daily driver with three kids' worth of Cheerios in the back seat or a weekend build that never sees rain.
We still offer mobile service across the Twin Cities. Not everyone has time to drop a car off and wait around. If it's more convenient for you, we'll come to your driveway or your office parking lot and get the work done there.
We still guarantee the finish. If something's not right, we make it right. That's not changing with a new logo.

Full Detailing
Our full detailing service is a complete interior-to-exterior reset. Upholstery and leather get deep cleaned and conditioned, glass gets streak-free clarity, and the exterior gets a full wash, decontamination, and protection pass. Whether it's mobile at your home or in our New Brighton studio, the goal is the same: your car should feel factory-fresh again, not just wiped down.
Paint Correction
Every car picks up swirl marks, light scratches, and haze over time, even with careful washing. Our paint correction process uses multi-stage machine polishing under controlled studio lighting to strip that damage away and bring back true gloss and depth in the paint. We offer both 1-step and 2-step correction packages depending on how much work your paint needs, and this step is also the essential foundation before any ceramic coating goes on.
Ceramic Coating
This is where QMD really sets itself apart. Our certified ceramic coatings bond to your clear coat at a molecular level, creating a hydrophobic layer that repels water, dirt, and grime for years, not months. Water beads and rolls right off. Washing gets easier. And the coating holds up to nine years of durability along with UV and chemical resistance, all while giving your paint a noticeably deeper, showroom-level gloss.
Monthly Maintenance & Fleet Programs
For customers who want to keep their vehicle in showroom shape year-round, we offer monthly maintenance plans. And for businesses running multiple vehicles, we've built out commercial fleet and partnership options so your whole fleet gets the same consistent, professional finish.
